A Colourful Storm: Mark N (Bloody Fist) + Moopie ft. KHA (Posseshot) + Kallista Kult

"Often, people will experience nostalgia for a younger and better time when they were younger, more carefree and beautiful. We can’t really do that because we hated it all"

A Colourful Storm presents a heavy triple bill with the return of Mark N, the debut of Moopie and MC KHA of Posseshot fame and the return of Kallista Kult, the shadowy trio purported to be YL Hooi, Tarquin Manek and Sam Karmel (CS + Kreme)

Mark N is an Australian underground hero. Responsible for releasing some of the most twisted drum and bass, hardcore and breaks records through his legendary Bloody Fist label, he represents a longstanding, uncompromising DIY spirit rarely seen within the confines of contemporary electronic music. He's also a wizard behind the decks - a DMC champion who needs to be seen to be believed. Last time we invited him, he mixed, juggled and scratched Public Enemy and Bloody Fist classics to a full house with incredulous ease.

Moopie premieres a bass-heavy set with KHA, MC, producer and co-founder of Melbourne sub-cultural hip-hop phenomenon Posseshot. Both heavily influenced by UK pirate radio and the emanating sounds of dark garage, grime and dubstep, the duo takes to the stage after years of shared musical lineage and mutual appreciation.

Kallista Kult is purported to be the trio of YL Hooi, Tarquin Manek and Sam Karmel (CS + Kreme). Their debut EP was released on A Colourful Storm in 2019 to critical acclaim and they have since made only a few masked live appearances. They perform their signature take on narcotic, stargazing dub at Miscellania for the first and possibly last time.

Free entry offered to all First Nations. Full accessibility document for Miscellania can be found here
