AETERNA pres. jackzebra (CN) - Zhuang Zhuang Tour

Chinese rapper, singer and producer jackzebra makes his Australian debut this December with shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Emerging from China's online rap underground, jackzebra has developed a distinct sound across cloud rap, plugg and trap, built around heavily Auto-Tuned Mandarin vocals and hazy, futuristic production.

After beginning in a bedroom studio in 2018, his music found an audience through Weibo, SoundCloud and underground rap communities outside China. He later joined New York collective Surf Gang, placing him within a wider international network of experimental rap.

Released through Surf Gang, Hunched Jack Mixtape features production from Evilgiane, Elipropperr, James Ferraro, Glasear and Woesum. The 22-track project connects the current Chinese underground with New York's avant-rap scene.

The Australian dates mark jackzebra's first performances in the country.
