A Conversation with Virginia Woods - Healing Through Movement
Description
We'd love you to join us for our online Community Conversation with Virginia Woods - a registered dance movement therapist and somatic psychotherapist, retired psychologist, with a Masters of Expressive Arts Therapy.
Over the decades of her career in the health and mental health field, she has witnessed transformation through dance for her clients. Virginia's particular areas of experience is in eating disorders and supporting people through trauma resolution, depression and anxiety.
At the recent Nia Gathering in Byron Bay, Virginia shared her personal and professional lifelong passion for dance and authentic movement. It was a delight to be guided by her as we connected with ourselves, honoured our authenticity, and explored movement as a pathway to spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing.
In this inspiring conversation, you'll learn more about:
How dance became such an important part of Virginia's life, both personally and professionally.
How, through her somatic movement and dance therapy practice, she facilitates individual and group sessions that support people to express their unique selves by connecting with their bodies, emotions, minds, and spirits.
What to be mindful of when supporting people to move authentically, whether they have limited or full mobility.
How to create a safe, inclusive, and immersive movement experience for everyone.
We hope you'll join us for what promises to be a thoughtful and inspiring conversation.
