Event description

A Country Practice are launching their debut album with friends Dumb Things and Olivia's World at It's Still A Secret.

Released in October 2021, I Will Leave This Town While There's Still Light is "as warped and imaginative as it is bizarrely captivating" (James Lynch, Trouble Juice Co). The record travels through "inner-city herb gardens, rural childhood homes and famous suburbs [with] a wry, subversive sense of humour that may well be the most quintessentially Queensland thing about all this" (Chris Cobcroft, 4ZZZ).

Available digitally and as a double CD featuring remixes and reworks. The limited 2CD edition is housed in a handmade, screen-printed and embossed cardboard case.


Dumb Things are two albums into their exploration of scruffy country-burnt songs. Their second album Time Again was released by Coolin' By Sound.

Olivia's World carve out scrappy indie pop songs full of insightful imagery and cutting lyricism. They have two EPs out on Lost Sound Tapes.
