Event description

We invite you to join a two-hour, online strategic workforce planning workshop.

Across Queensland, the domestic and family violence, sexual violence, and women’s health and wellbeing sector is driven by passionate, skilled, and deeply committed people. Every day, you show up — working in solidarity to support safety, justice, and healing, often in the face of complexity.

Strategic workforce planning is about imagining the workforce we want, recognising the strengths we already have, and taking practical, purposeful steps to grow, connect, develop, and sustain it.  This collaborative process is grounded in robust evidence, including insights from WorkUP Queensland's recent workforce survey.

At this practical and engaging workshop, we will:

  • Explore the current context of our work and drivers for change.

  • Connect with peers, celebrating our shared commitment and sector milestones.

  • Share insights to inform how WorkUP Queensland supports the sector with workforce development.

Your insights, experience, and leadership are not just welcome — they are critical to shape  a robust strategic workforce plan that will:

  • Strengthen our ability to attract, retain, and support value-aligned people.

  • Create professional development that supports career development and wellbeing.

  • Boost our collective capability and capacity to meet challenges and lead change.

  • Deliver better outcomes for the people and communities we serve.

Get involved. Lead the change. Let’s shape the future of our workforce, together.

And as Brené Brown reminds us:

“Leadership is about action, not position.”

 Every conversation matters.

Who should attend

Everyone in the domestic and family violence, sexual violence, and women’s health and wellbeing sector is welcome and encouraged to join us to contribute to the development of impactful workforce strategies for the sector.
