A Dinner for Change
Event description
The Daniela Dwyer Foundation’s A Dinner for Change will be a turning point in the way cancer is diagnosed and treated.
On Thursday 25 September at the iconic Boat House on Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin, DDF will host an exceptional evening to support its fundraising efforts.
We are extremely honoured to welcome Professor Sudha Rao as our guest speaker. Professor Rao is a highly respected and internationally renowned cancer expert from QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. This is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand, Professor Rao’s insights into her pioneering research to develop the world-first non-invasive liquid biopsy platform. DDF has proudly supported the Rao Laboratory with funding that has accelerated progress of this platform through accreditation to clinical testing.
Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome Jean Mitchell, brain cancer survivor and rowing champion who proudly represented Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Jean will share how her drive and commitment enabled her to realise her childhood dream of participating in an Olympic Games.
Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner and accompanying premium wines, entertainment and live auction.
All proceeds from the evening will go towards continuing to fund Professor Rao’s groundbreaking research. We invite you to be part of this extraordinary journey into helping to improve diagnostic and treatment options for cancer patients.
Dine with purpose … for Daniela … for change.
