Event description

Ever wondered how scientists recognise individual dolphins or track them in the wild? Join this one-hour, hands-on workshop to learn the science behind dolphin research!

Discover how fin identification helps us as scientists tell dolphins apart and how mark-recapture techniques estimate populations. Perfect for secondary students who love marine biology, this session is also a great intro to the Cetacean Sisters program – a unique opportunity for girls to explore science through dolphin and whale research and held on Phillip Island and the Mornington Peninsula.

Suitable for any Secondary School student with a passion for marine science or science!
