An ordinary man unexpectedly becomes the Queen of the Carnival in this wordless, funny and heartfelt celebration of queer joy, identity and self-acceptance.

A DRAG IS BORN is a seven-time award-winning solo performance blending clown, drag, physical theatre and magical realism. Created and performed by Edu Díaz, an artist from the Canary Islands (Spain) based in New York, the show has delighted audiences across New York, Orlando, Los Angeles, Tenerife and the Edinburgh Fringe.

With no spoken language, A DRAG IS BORN invites audiences into a visual, musical and deeply human journey where transformation becomes an act of freedom.

Edu Díaz makes his Australian debut with the support of the Embassy of Spain in Australia.
