Event description

Last year a team of Creative, Expressive Arts Therapists assembled and offered Psychologists, Social Workers, Allied Health, other Mental Health Professionals & Students some down time using expressive therapies.

This year we are offering the same again! Come and explore what expressive therapies can do for your self-care. Self-care is always a hot topic amongst mental health professionals and it can seem onerous to be designing a life of positivity and relaxation outside of work. The time you spend engaging in creating art work for yourself, moving and hearing wonderful music will help you relax, rejuvenate and resource yourself for the remainder of the year! Don't believe?? Try it out.

The program will offer mental health professionals a 2.5 hour experience where you can learn simple activities to refocus mindfully on what is important to you - something you won't be asked often in your profession. You will take away new activities to help at home when work is stressful. Sometimes these activities can be taken into your workplace too. Expressive Arts Therapists love to share what they do and help other professionals incorporate more creativity into their work. Sometimes a picture can convey more than words!

It is a time to collaborate too, if you need to expand your network, please come along and bring your details into the pool so professionals can help each other do great work.
