Description

A Glass of Wine & A Good Book brings together two of life's greatest pleasures - fine writing and quality wines.

For this special Totally Lit event you are invited to join historical fiction author Anthea Hodgson in the extraordinary surroundings of the Samson & Sons cellar (so old it holds the very first liquor license ever granted in  Western Australia) for a trip back in time, to the Fremantle, Perth and Kalgoorlie of yesteryear.

Anthea will tell tales about our WA history; the shocking murder of her great aunt Minnie in the Bangka Island Massacre, the terrible fate of Kentucky madam, Pansy Arlington, and the horrible murder of police officers Pitman and Walsh in the goldfields of Kalgoorlie 100 years ago.

Plantagenet Wines - which traces its roots back to the pioneering Samson family - will also be there to offer you complementary glasses of their iconic Three Lions brand.

With so much talent and history at hand, you can be certain this special evening will deliver it all - good stories, good wine and good conversation!

Join us for a truly memorable and immersive experience.

Things to note:
- Capacity is strictly limited and bookings are essential.
- Ticket price includes two complementary glasses of Plantagenet wines.
- Please note that the Samson & Sons building is a heritage building and is not an accessible venue.
- Entry is by the old door on the footpath which will have a blue and white sign for the Museum.

Presented by Totally Lit in association with the Samson Family Museum and Plantagenet Wines.
