The Event

A Good Laugh - Echunga Community Institute Friday 8 May | Doors 7:30pm | Show 8pm

A Good Laugh rolls into Echunga Community Institute for a night of sharp, surprising and seriously funny comedy. A stellar lineup, a beloved local venue, and a room full of people ready to laugh.

The Lineup

Bobby Macumber is your MC for the night - stand-up comedian, Triple R breakfast host and current Roving Reporter on ABC Radio Adelaide. Quick, warm and completely at home in a room.

Clay McMath finds humour in life's awkward transitions, quiet failures and identity crises. Honest, self-aware and a little uncomfortable - in the best possible way.

Jazz King deals in short jokes that take sharp turns. Careful timing, calculated mischief and diabolical innocence. A 2025 RAW Comedy national finalist with writing credits on ABC's Gruen and Question Everything.

Mr Spin is one of Australia's finest jugglers and a comic vaudevillian who has delighted audiences worldwide for 25 years. Ferocious energy, endearing wit, and genuinely unmissable.

Fabien Clark is the 2013 Adelaide Comedian of the Year and a storyteller through and through, two decades on the Australian comedy circuit, a Weekly Award-winning Fringe show, and comedy that covers fatherhood, relationships and everything in between.

Closing the night - Sam Taunton. Winner of the Pinder Prize at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe sell-out, Sydney Opera House performer and former host of The Project. Quick-fire, captivating and one of the most in-demand acts in the country.

About the Festival

A Good Laugh is hitting the road this May, popping up across the Mount Barker region with a rolling lineup of sharp, playful and downright funny performers.

From local halls to much-loved venues, the festival brings a mix of seasoned pros and fresh voices together for nights of big laughs in small places. Each show is different, each town brings its own flavour, and no two nights are quite the same.

Kicking off on 1 May, the festival travels through Nairne, Macclesfield, Hahndorf, Echunga, Meadows and Totness, before wrapping up with the final gala at Mount Barker Town Hall.

At its heart, A Good Laugh is about bringing people together, discovering regional spaces, and having a good laugh because life’s a bit bonkers!

So grab your mates, pick your town (or follow the trail), and settle in for a night of cracking comedy, good company and a proper laugh.

A Good Laugh is presented by Bamboozled Productions with support from Mount Barker District Council.
