Event description
A haptic approach to electro-acoustic live performance
This show focuses on exploring hands-on tool for electro-acoustic live performance, interacting between manipulated material as well as real-time modular synthesis. The performed piece also draws on the experience of recording Trônes Amoncelés (2025, Opal Tapes) at La Muse en Circuit, a studio founded by Luc Ferrari as well as personal experiences in mountain trailing and research practices with semantic web ontologies, two fields that inform Augustin’s musical practice.
Augustin Braud is a composer, musician, and researcher. Also a permanent musicologist at the RicercarLab in Tours (CESR), his practice ranges from written instrumental music to electroacoustic performances. He is also the winner of the 2020 Claude Arrieu Prize from SACEM, and has collaborated with ensembles such as the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ensemble Intercontemporain and the Klangforum Wien at festivals such as ECLAT, Gaudeamus, Musica, and Présences.
