Join Lyn O’Grady for a talk to uncover the fascinating history of The Briars in Medindie. Once the home of politician George Charles Hawker, this 30-room mansion later became the McBride Maternity Hospital for 80 years. Discover the stories of Hawker, the nurses and the unwed mothers who were part of the home’s history in this presentation.
