A Long Lunch in Celebration of Holy Goat

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us in a truly special event this April as we gather chefs, cheese merchants, farmers, winemakers and brewers from the Mount Alexander Shire together to celebrate our shires' most iconic food producer Holy Goat.

The Holy Goat team are ceasing production of their award winning organic goat's cheeses after two decades of award winning production. The dairy and farm has left an indelible legacy on cheese production and standards in Australia as well as inspiring others to consider all aspects of ethical production, animal husbandry, regenerative land management and production without compromise.

We will be collaborating with businesses and individuals from the shire to produce a Holy Goat inspired 4 course lunch with matched beverage pairing in the setting of The Goods Shed in Castlemaine, adjacent to the train station. The space will be transformed into a dynamic, inspired room with visual, verbal and of course delicious tribute to the iconic cheeses of Holy Goat.

When booking, please advise us of any dietary restrictions or allergies. We are able to cater for Vegetarian and Gluten free diets. Unfortunately we can not cater to FODMAP or Vegan diets for this particular event. Please also specify if you would like to opt for a Non-Alcoholic Beverage pairing with lunch.

We are extremely excited and look forward to hosting you!

*Please note - Proceeds from this event will be used to support future collaborative community events in the Mount Alexander Shire*
