After years of bringing people together around history, culture, and the humanities, we’re tying the knot and starting a new chapter together. Raise a glass to what we’ve built, learn more about what’s next, and celebrate the beginning of this new partnership. 

What to Expect

We’ll celebrate the people and ideas shaping our city, along with the communities who have supported and sustained our organizations over the years. Come meet new people, connect with old friends, and get a first look at the work of our new organization through a variety of activities. 

Your ticket includes access to the event, food, drink, and activities. Ticket purchases are not tax-deductible.

You’ll also have the opportunity to make an additional donation when purchasing your ticket. Consider adding a tax-deductible donation to help ensure our programs and events remain accessible to our community.

DC History Center and HumanitiesDC recently announced our intent to merge and become a single nonprofit dedicated to preserving the District’s history, celebrating its culture, and supporting the humanities. This decision comes after a year of thoughtful planning and decades of shared work with complementary missions.  

Together, we’re building a new organization that will preserve what you love from both organizations while deepening our work to create greater impact than either organization could achieve alone.
