Settle in for a stripped back night of grit, groove and storytelling as Lightnin Jack brings an intimate show to Bridgetown alongside Ash King (of Smoke Stack Rhino fame).
With nothing but guitar, voice and a lifetime steeped in Blues-soaked Australiacana, Jack delivers raw, honest songs the way they are meant to be heard - up close and unfiltered. Expect deep cuts, road-worn favourites and a few surprises from WAM's 2025 Blues Artist of the Year !!!
Ash King, blues and roots singer-songwriter hailing from Healesville in Victoria, brings his deep powerful vouce and funky guitar work for a balanced soulful feel with raw energy. Think John Butler meets Johnny Cash at our firepit and you are not far off.
As a solo acoustic artist and frontman of blues-rock band Smoke Stack Rhino, Ash brings his high-energy live show across Australia to our back yard. His solo debut album is described as being uplifting, honest, thoughtful and fun. 'I like the saying that "you don't write the song, the song writes you " '

- Do I need to bring a chair?
No, we have chairs.
- Will it be cold?
Well, we are not known as Fridgetown for no reason. Dress warm, and we will have the firepits going - Nanna Pip loves a fire - it is in the genes.
- Will food be available ?
Hearty, winter warming soups will be available from 5 pm if conditions allow - watch for updates. How ever there will not be tables for this gig - it is an "in the round" style.
