A Midsummer Night's Dream
Written by William Shakespeare, directed by Lizzie Schebesta and presented by the Graduating Company of 2024 as part of the Shakespeare Series
About this play:
"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind."
Hermia and Lysander are in love. But in Athens, that love is forbidden. Their romantic dreams are quickly becoming a nightmare and so with the threat of execution or death hanging over their heads, they escape to the one place that might be safe – the forest. And so into a dark wood of magic they go, but this is no fairy-tale. Deep in this magical forest a feuding Fairy King and Queen cross paths with these runaway lovers as well as a troupe of amateur actors, resulting in tempestuous love triangles, contagious fogs and moonlight revels.
Join us for one of the funniest comedies to ever hit the stage.
