A Midsummer Summer; Intro to Shakespeare - Years 5-6
Event description
A land of fairies, friendships and a talking donkey… what’s not to love? You certainly don’t have to be in high school to experience the genius of Shakespeare. Join us this summer as we take on one of the Bard’s most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Students will work with an ATYP artist as they uncover the rich text of the play, explore rhyming patterns and take on iconic characters. Students will perform various scenes from the play for family and friends at the end of the week.
ATYP school holiday workshops encourage and engage young people from Kindergarten to Year 12. Participants will make new friends, learn about performing, gain confidence and most importantly have a ton of fun in a safe and inspiring environment.
