Come and meet Australia’s leading sustainable chef, Matt Stone!
In recent years Matt has risen to the top of the culinary world scene, starting out his career in Margaret River. Now based in the Byron Bay hinterland, Matt is the visionary behind his new restaurant ‘You Beauty’. Matt has also authored a cookbook and made numerous guest appearances on Masterchef showcasing his passion for sustainable cooking and locally sourced ingredients.
“My role as a chef is to serve delicious food,” he says. “The less food has travelled, the better it is, and the better it is for the environment. It also means less packaging is needed.” He also plans to pay a fair price for the produce he sources. “Good food should be expensive.”
Matt will be joined on stage by local WA Chef Melissa Palinkas fellow champion of sustainable cooking and WA produce.
