The landslide re-election of the Albanese Labor government has provoked a significant debate within the labour movement about what a more ambitious economic reform agenda would look like.

To mark five decades since the end of post-war full employment, Unionists for a Job Guarantee (UfJG) are hosting a free public forum to reflect on this momentous shift and the future of full employment policy making in Australia.

We are thrilled to announce that the event will feature speeches from:

Desiree Cai, Tomorrow Movement
Emma Dawson, Chifley Institute
Dr. Carina Garland MP, Australian Labor Party
Tim Kennedy, United Workers Union
Colin Long, Victorian Trades Hall Council / Unionists for a Job Guarantee
Prof. William Mitchell, Centre of Full Employment and Equity

Please join our fantastic line-up speakers as they reflect on a New Economic Vision for the Labour Movement.

RSVP to avoid disapointment as tickets are limited.

Formed in 2025, Unionists for a Job Guarantee is a group of trade unionists campaigning for secure, sustainable, and decent jobs for all. To express interest in joining, please register here.
