A Night for Palestine
Event description
Join us for an incredible evening of live music and solidarity in support of two vital Palestinian relief organisations.
Many of us are at a loss as to what we can say or do to make a tangible difference to the Palestinian people impacted by the ongoing genocide in Gaza. That’s why we wanted to create A Night for Palestine - a way for our community to come together in solidarity and enjoy some amazing local music, all while making a real difference. November 29 is also the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
With your generosity, we’re hoping to raise an ambitious $10,000! All donations will be split between our two chosen charities: The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
We are offering tickets for A Night for Palestine on a sliding scale, starting from $25, with the option to add an extra donation if you wish. Or you can simply donate without buying a ticket.
Featuring performances by: Shady Lady, Naram, Castlecliff Lights, Space Trash, and Alphabethead.

About our chosen charities
Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), founded in 1991 by concerned humanitarians in the USA, provides free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system. Over the years, they've sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get.
Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP) provides immediate medical aid to those in need at times of crisis, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system. MAP are also committed to speaking out against injustices that prevent Palestinians from fully enjoying their rights to health and dignity, and campaign to ensure the voices of Palestinians impacted by occupation, displacement and conflict are heard at the highest levels.
A Night for Palestine is an Overtone Events production in collaboration with the Whanganui Palestine Solidarity Group (WPSG). A special thank you to Whanganui Musicians Club, the amazing musicians and many others for volunteering their time and talent for this important cause.
