Mankind Soundscapes and Bar 303 present a night of Gothic sounds featuring a delectable selection from across the many sub-genres currently seeing a revival in Naarm/Melbourne.

DYSTROPOLIS bring the post-punk tinged, driving bass and jangling guitars of classic 80's goth and new wave.
Think: Siouxsie and the Banshees or The Cure

MANKIND is known for their energetic live performances and dynamic soundscapes featuring emotive vocals, melodic basslines, droning synths, and booming percussion.
Think: Jane's Addiction or Joy Division meets Type O Negative

WOLF ARROW RAIN's neo folk inspired music swings between melancholia to soothing lullabies.
Think: Florence in the Machine or a femme Jeff Martin

What do all these bands share in the sonic and visual realm?
Collectively, they are defined by a brooding, atmospheric sound, driven by deep basslines, reverb-heavy guitars, and melancholic or romantic themes. They share a distinct fashion and lyrical ideology that embraces macabre, melancholic and the darker side of life.
