A Night of Jazz with Vince Jones
Event description
A NIGHT OF JAZZ WITH VINCE JONES
Join Vince Jones and the top graduating jazz musicians from the Elder Conservatorium of Music for a night of memorable performances.
Vince Jones is Australia’s leading jazz vocalist. With his velvety tones and elegantly human delivery, he has been tantalising audiences for over 40 years. Vince is also a composer and distinctive jazz trumpet player.
Jones grew up listening to his musician father’s collection of great jazz albums. The feel, style and essence of the music became a natural extension of Jones' world and influenced his musical journey. In 1981 Vince Jones recorded his debut album, Watch What Happens. He has gone on to release over 20 albums since then and collaborate with many iconic Australian musicians including Kate Ceberano and Paul Grabowsky.
Be transported by the smooth and silky vocals of Vince Jones, as he performs both original material and contemporary versions of jazz favourites
