A Paint and a Pinot at Paddo RSL: "Tom Robert's Coogee Bay"
Event description
Ceevio Art hosts "A Paint and a Pinot" at Paddo RSL - a relaxed and freindly environment where you can eat, drink and socialise while your inner creative soul is revealed! Not only is it great fun, you will also find out the secrets to making a painting that's a little more sophisticated than what you usually find on offer at most of the other 'paint and sip' places around town.
Everything you need is supplied on the night - paints, brushes, easel, a 40x50cm canvas, and an apron. Just bring yourself! And you take home your masterpice on your own canvas.
Tonight's painting is a very beginner-friendly interpretation of Tom Roberts' "Coogee Bay", which he painted in 1888. Tom Roberts is one of our most influential artists. He was considered the leader of the Heidelberg school (also known as the Australian Impressionists) – the first distinctively Australian school of painting.
Our professional art coach, Chris, will guide you step-by-step, showing you how to create this painting - even if you've never painted before in your life! No experience is needed, and more than half of our attendees are absolute beginners. Its all about having fun while trying something new.
While Ceevio Art 'paint and sip' sessions specifically cater to the absolute beginner, those of you with a bit more experience or skill will also find these sessions very rewarding.
At Ceevio Art we believe that everyone has an artist within them waiting to be discovered! We use fast-drying acrylic paints that wash out in water - and we provide everything you need on the night - all you have to do is bring yourself. Just be ready to have fun!
Come and have a go! You might just surprise yourself at what you can do!
