Monash Chorale is proud to present our 2023 Christmas concert:
A Partridge in a Pear Tree ... Christmas Carols with a Twist.
We will take you on a musicological journey through different musical eras - medieval to modern, across different nations, and instruments. You will be a part of this concert, joining in the singing of favourite carols.
The most modern piece of music we will present is the ABC Classic Choir composition for 2023 by Australian composer Elena Katz-Chernin, entitled Summer Together. You may hear it on the radio more often as we approach Christmas, and we are delighted to introduce it to you live on stage in this concert.
Our finale will be a fun 'Musicological Journey through the Twelve Days of Christmas'. Will you be able to recognise the famous classical pieces adapted to this journey?
Tickets are on sale from 1st November. Adults $30; Concession $25; School aged children $10.
You ticket price includes afternoon tea at the conclusion of the concert.
