For more than 50 years, Parramatta Mission has supported vulnerable people across Western Sydney, offering immediate relief and pathways toward long-term stability.  

Meals Plus sits at the heart of our work, a place where people experiencing, or at risk of housing crisis find safety, self-worth and support. 

Open weekdays, Meals Plus provides nutritious meals alongside twice monthly access to housing assistance, employment pathways and other critical services via our Community Hub days. For many, it is the first place they turn during moments of crisis, including individuals escaping domestic and family violence, refugees and newly arrived migrants and people facing housing instability for the first time. 

Meals Plus has grown into a trusted, welcoming space where people feel seen, supported and hopeful. It remains the foundation of Parramatta Mission’s work and a vital lifeline for our most vulnerable neighbours. 

About A Place at the Table 

Our Place at the Table fundraising dinner invites you to share in the spirit of Meals Plus, offering a powerful reflection on connection, respect and community. While the evening contributes to vital fundraising efforts, its primary purpose is to offer an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at the impact being made every day. 

Hosted within our dining hall, the evening steps away from a traditional gala format, with guests sharing a simple two-course meal inspired by the menu served to our guests each day, grounding the experience in the reality of the work. 

Throughout the evening, you’ll hear stories, meet the people behind the service and gain an understanding of the challenges faced by those navigating housing insecurity and hardship.

Awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have, and by extending the invitation to those you work with, you help carry the stories of our guests even further.
