Aspect Film Club is a community film club for and by people of colour.
For our next film screening, Apect Film Club presents A SEPARATION, the striking family drama from Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi.
Nader, Simin, and 10-year-old Termeh live in a flat in Tehran. The family face conflict over the decision to migrate from Iran or stay and look after Nader's ailing father. This is a moving social, psychological, and family drama, and a vivid portrayal of Iranian life. Starring Leila Hatami, Peyman Moadi, and Sarina Farhadi.

SCHEDULE:
Arrive from 6pm to mingle and grab popcorn or wine from the venue. Screening will start at 6:30pm and the film runs for 123 minutes. Afterwards, anybody who would like to stay and chat about the film is welcome to head towards a private breakout room, with discussion guided by curated prompts.
Don't be afraid to come alone — the hosts will be around to say hello and make everybody feel welcome.

Aspect Film Club is designed for people of colour to connect with fellow film lovers and watch cinema from around the world. Allies are kindly requested to respect the intentions of the space.
Our mission is to intentionally build and foster community. We choose to centre people of colour in an effort to move away from the whiteness/white sensibilities that can dominate arts communities and conversations. We want to develop into a place for you to regularly catch up with friends, connect with new people, watch a movie on a big screen, and celebrate cinema.
