Through gentle movement, intuitive painting and sound, you’ll create a portrait that reflects not how you look, but how you feel.

When was the last time you slowed down long enough to really notice yourself?

Life can move so quickly. Between caring for others, meeting expectations and keeping up with everyday responsibilities, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself.

The Somatic Portrait is an immersive creative experience where movement, sound and creativity become gentle invitations to reconnect with yourself.

Throughout the afternoon, you’ll be guided through gentle movement, simple breathing practices, intuitive painting, reflection and relaxation with sound, creating space to slow down, become present and reconnect with yourself.

Together we’ll explore different aspects of self, including self-awareness, self-expression, self-compassion, self-trust and self-acceptance.

There is no right or wrong way to move, create or express yourself, and no artistic experience is needed.

This isn’t about creating beautiful art.

It’s about exploring and expressing who you are in this moment.

Along the way, you’ll create your own Somatic Portrait—not of your appearance, but of your inner experience. A portrait that reflects not how you look, but how you feel.

We’ll finish with a peaceful sound journey and guided relaxation, allowing the experience to gently settle before we close together.

What is a Somatic Portrait?

A Somatic Portrait isn’t about painting what you look like.

It’s about expressing what it feels like to be you.

Through movement, creativity and reflection, you’ll be invited to explore your inner landscape and create something uniquely your own.

What you’ll need

Very little.

Just bring:

• Comfortable clothing you can move freely in

• A yoga mat, cushion, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable sitting or lying on the floor

• A water bottle

• A small mirror, if you have one (no stress if you don’t—we’ll have a few available)

• A journal, if you enjoy writing (optional)

We’ll provide everything else, including tea, cacao, art materials and a welcoming creative space.

Just come as you are.

About your facilitator

Hi, I’m Marcela.

I’m a wellness and movement coach, former physiotherapist, yoga and Pilates teacher, and personal trainer with a passion for helping people reconnect with themselves through movement.

For the past four to five years, painting and creativity have been a personal way for me to slow down, reconnect and reflect.

I’ve found that when I let go of trying to create something “good” and simply allow the process to unfold, it becomes incredibly grounding. It has become a space where I can connect with myself without needing words or judgement.

This workshop brings together my love of movement, creativity and human connection into a welcoming space where you can move, create and reflect—without judgement or expectation.
