Event description

A step closer to whanaungatanga – Equity review findings

UC has been investing in equity transformation for over a decade, yet there is a persistent equity gap that challenges UC to critically reflect on current approaches. Te Waka Pākākano | Office of Māori, Pacific and Equity has conducted an Equity Benchmarking report to support UC in choosing and prioritising future equity investments and approaches. This will take us a step closer to creating a diverse and inclusive community, where all staff and students have a sense of belonging, building on our bicultural foundations and walking the talk of whanaungatanga.

This hui will be hosted by Sacha McMeeking Kaihautū Matua Pākākano | Executive Director – Māori, Pacific & Equity along with Ripeka Tamanui-Hurunui Kaihautū Taunaki Tāngata | Director – Equity & Business Management, who will share key findings from the report and discuss the next steps.
