Mon, 1 Sep, 5pm - Sat, 18 Oct, 12pm AEST

Event description

Mending clothes is a simple yet powerful act that benefits you and the planet. By repairing garments instead of discarding them, you extend their life, reduce textile waste, and potentially save money. Plus, mending can be a creative and satisfying way to express your style—each stitch tells a story and adds character to your wardrobe.

We're offering several 2-hour workshops throughout September and October, suitable for beginners looking to build their skills in clothing repair and visible mending techniques. A knowledgeable textile artisan and member of the Embroiders Guild, NSW, will facilitate these workshops, and all materials and tools necessary will be supplied. So all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!

About the workshops.

At one of our ' basic mending ' workshops, you can learn how to replace missing buttons and repair visible tears, hems, and seams.
