A Stitch in Time - Upcycling Shoes Workshop
Event description
Upcycling is a fantastic way to breathe new life into your old footwear, keeping your ‘kicks’ looking funky-fresh and ready to hit the pavement.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of creative ability.
Do you have old shoes at home that would benefit from a ‘glow-up’?
Join Annette Atalas, founder of the sustainable reuse enterprise Trashy, Penrith, and explore fun and artistic upcycling methods, including patchwork, painting, and embroidery that can be applied to shoes and other apparel.
Trashy has generously supplied all the materials needed for upcycling, so you only need to bring your favourite pair of shoes from home, enthusiasm, and imagination!
Please note that the images above are examples of how shoe art can be applied, but they may not directly reflect the workshop's aesthetic as they are not the tutor's work.
