Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, which won the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, tells the story of a devastating clash between fantasy and reality.

Blanche DuBois, a fading southern belle, finds herself lost in the modern world. Seeking refuge with her sister Stella in a lively, crowded neighbourhood of New Orleans, she clashes with Stella's rough and unrefined husband, Stanley Kowalski. As their tensions escalate, Blanche's delicate sense of self begins to unravel, putting her sanity and her last hope for happiness at risk.

Rising Arts Productions are excited to be presenting a bold new interpretation this November/December from the minds of Sophie Bentley, Elyse Zouroudis and Lisa Perritt. For more information, check out our audition pack HERE.
