A Summer Gathering
Event description
SUMMER. A season of warmth and abundance, of lazy days spent outside, late afternoon swims and simple fare.
In 'A Summer Gathering' at Cedar Springs near Kiama, you will arrive to an amazing property that embraces wellness and serenity. Within a small group of 8-10 people, you will join Karina for a wholesome day of interpreting recipes, chopping, measuring, cooking, baking and sharing stories. Enjoy your delicious meal as you sit down to a beautifully styled table after all your hard (and fun!) work in the kitchen.
This isn't a formal cooking class as such...it is a communal gathering where you will be with other kind humans who love food. We've missed the village feeling of preparing food with others, not just over the past few years, but due to the last several decades of a fast, busy and 'convenient food' culture.
This is a way to connect to you, your food source (local and organic), your community and nature.
All dishes will be gluten and refined sugar free using local and organic ingredients. No seed oils, just beautiful natural fats and oils. Dairy free can be accommodated with advance notice.
No cooking skills needed. Just bring your open heart and curiosity.
All proceeds after event costs will be donated to the wonderful not-for-profit indigenous owned and run charity 'The Returning'.
