Event description
A Sustainable Fashion Show: Beyond Glitz & Glamour
Join us for an afternoon of fashion with a purpose at the House of Musa New Zealand's Sustainable Fashion Show: Beyond Glitz and Glamour. Immerse yourself in the world of sustainable style as we present our latest Spring Collectionâa seamless fusion of elegance, ethics, and environmental responsibility. This collection showcases exquisite Musa outfits crafted from handwoven banana fiber, created by People Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in Davao del Norte, Philippines, and designed by artisans from marginalized communities. Complemented by our signature Musa bags, earrings, and jackets, these pieces redefine timeless fashion.
We are excited to announce that this yearâs runway will also feature a special segment for kids and teens, empowering the next generation to embrace sustainable fashion. Alongside this, our runway will be graced by models of diverse ages, backgrounds, and sizes, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and celebrating beauty in all its forms.
This event is more than just a fashion show; itâs a platform to highlight how sustainable practices, traditional craftsmanship, and social empowerment can coexist. By blending stylish garments with a commitment to positive change, we aim to make a meaningful impact on both people and the planet. Part of the proceeds will go to abandoned children with special needs.
Ticket holders will also have the opportunity to enter various raffles and be entertained by performers, making it truly an afternoon of networking, fashion, and entertainment. Additionally, there will be merchants at the venue offering a variety of items for sale.
By choosing Musa, youâre not just making a fashion statementâyouâre advocating for a future where beauty, responsibility, and compassion go hand in hand.
