    Event description

Are you attending the University of Tasmania Open Day activities in Hobart on 17 September? Would you like to know more about studying Agricultural Science?

The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) is hosting a fun-filled mini-prac as part of Open Day! This activity is a great way to see the facilities, meet staff, and experience why Agricultural Science is a very a-peeling course!

With the plethora of potato varieties grown in Tasmania, this is no better place to explore the art of potato chip frying! This mini-prac activity will highlight the importance of understanding how potato selection and preparation methods can affect the flavour and look of potato chips once the cooking method is complete. Of course, learning is rewarding so participants will be able to taste the difference for themselves!

Staff from the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture will be available to answer your questions about studying Agricultural Science.

This activity is just a taste of what an Agriculture Science degree can offer. You will be spitting chips if you miss out!
