A Taste of Ireland
Event description
Learn to make some yummy vegetarian dishes from Ireland then sit down and enjoy them with others!
We will get a taste of Ireland with our host Valerie Sheldon. Originally from Bushmills in Northern Ireland, Valerie moved to Ashburton about 20 years ago.
Under Valerie's guidance, we will make Mushroom Roast served with Champ and Colcannon which are both traditional Irish buttery potato dishes, along with broad beans and honeyed carrots.
For dessert we'll make an apple and plum crumble, served with whipped cream.
All dishes are vegetarian - they all contain butter and the mushroom roast has eggs and cheese. It is possible to make all dishes gluten free if we know in advance attendees require this.
Come along and get some new recipe ideas, learn about another country and enjoy a delicious dinner together with others! Limited to 10 people so get in quick.
This event is one in a series of 'A Taste of... ' cooking classes organised & subsidised by Keep Learning Mid Canterbury and the Mid Canterbury Newcomers Network.
