Rainbow Inclusion
Event description
Join Qtopia staff for a workshop if you want to better understand and support the rainbow people in your life. This workshop is for friends and family of rainbow people as well as the general public who are interested in learning more. Come along to get all your questions answered!
Qtopia builds inclusive environments and creates safe spaces where diversity is celebrated. Their popular education programme has been delivered to over 15,000 people in the last 3 years and now we're bringing the Qtopia programme to Ashburton!
This workshop will cover core concepts around diversity and inclusion and language and terminology that relates to the LGBTQIA+ community. Attendees will be left with practical tools and tips that they can put into practice in their day-to-day life. Qtopia’s workshops are always contextualised to who is in the room, to make sure that everyone leaves with practical tools that are relevant to them.
Make the most of this wonderful opportunity in Ashburton and register your place today. Entry is free but there is an option to make a donation which will go to Qtopia. The event is held at the Ashburton Library in the Banded Dotterel Room (directions will be provided to those who register). There are limited places so ensure you book in good time.
Note: A similar workshop aimed at professionals will be held the same day from 1-3 pm in Community House. Tickets for this event cost $20 - to cover time & travel cost for Qtopia staff.
