A Taste of Japan
Event description
Learn to make some yummy dishes, popular in Japan, then sit down and enjoy them with others!
We will get a taste of Japan with our host Rui Key. Originally from Hokkaido in Japn, Rui has been in New Zealand for almost 7 years. She moved to Mid Canterbury about 6 months ago with her young family.
Under Rui's guidance, we will make Karaage chicken - Japanese fried chicken, a Ham and Egg Salad and Miso soup (contains fish stock). For dessert we will make instant mochi - a chewy rice dessert - with black sesame, adzuki (sweet red bean) and kinako (powdered soy bean) filling.
Come along and get some new recipe ideas, learn about another country and enjoy a delicious dinner together with others! Limited to 10 people so get in quick.
