A Taste of Italy

Learn to make some yummy dishes, popular in Italy, then sit down and enjoy them with others!Â
We will get a taste of Italy with our host Gabriella Asara. Originally from Sardinia, Italy, Gabriella moved to New Zealand in 2015 and has lived in Ashburton for the past 8 years.
Under Gabriella's guidance, we will make gnocchi di patate / potato gnocchi (df, vt) from scratch! Gnocchi di patate is eaten with all sorts of different sauces. Tonight we will make 3 for you to choose from; a pesto sauce (vt, gf), a tasty cheese sauce (vt) and a deliciously simple tomato sauce (df, v, gf). These 3 sauces are the colours of the Italian flag!
We will also make lovely Italian Pizzicotti biscuits (gf, df, vt) and enjoy these with a hot drink after the meal.Â
The menu is suitable for vegetarians and those requiring a dairy free meal.
Come along and get some new recipe ideas, learn about another country and enjoy a delicious dinner together with others! Limited to 10 people so get in quick.
