A Taste of Newtown: a whānau picnic
Event description
Come and connect with our diverse community at our nourishing event showcasing locally sourced, grown, and prepared food.
This is Newtown’s SIXTH year participating in Seeds to Feeds and every year we have evolved into something new. This year we are so excited to be sharing a menu that represents so many cultures present in our Newtown Community.
We’ll be hosting an early evening whānau-focused “picnic” at Newtown School, with music and fun for everyone!
Come and share in a gorgeous menu of locally made dumplings, pizza's with passata made by the tamariki of Newtown School with Garden to Table, plus fresh dips, breads and salads. This event wouldn't be possible without the mahi of Wellington TimeBank and supported by the Berhampore Island Bay Orchard, Wellington City Council & Commonsense Organics.
It’s BYO plate, cutlery, and cups - though we will have some on hand for those who are unable to bring their own.
We can't wait to share this magic afternoon with you, it's fun for the whole whānau!
