Event description

Learn to make some delicious Polish food, then sit down and enjoy it with others!

Your host will be the vivacious Anna Matejczyk, who lives in Poland but is visiting family here in Ashburton. She looks forward to sharing her culture and cuisine with you. Anna will be assisted by Natalia Langtree who is from the UK but has Polish language skills, and lives now in Mid Canterbury.

Together we will make grochowka - a pea soup (with smoked meat or vegetarian version), also Placki ziemniaczane z gulaszem which is potato pancakes with goulash! Vegetarian option available. Then dessert is smiatankowa pianka z galaretka which you'll just have to experience! It has a sponge base, creamy middle and jelly top.

Come along and get some new recipe ideas, learn about another country and enjoy a lovely meal together with others!

Limited to 10 people so get in quick.

This event is one in a series of 'A Taste of... ' cooking classes organised by Keep Learning Mid Canterbury and the Mid Canterbury Newcomers Network.
