A Teaspoon of Hope - Art & Poetry Workshop
Event description
Art & poetry, pens & paint and a cup of tea in a quirky mug becomes the soft landing place for your weary soul. This nourishing, arts based, poetic workshop invites you to meander and breathe. Through gentle, fun, reflective prompts you will explore the art of writing poetry from the inner places and create emergent art by reconnecting to your self expression and unleashing a sense of hopefulness. You bring your heart, we will provide the spoons.
No artistic ability required, no previous art or poetry experience needed. This is a process focussed workshop for creative exploration and self expression.
Co-facilitated by poet and author Sarah Todman and expressive arts therapist Rochelle Melville who initially met in cyberspace over their love for poetry.
Sarah Todman is the author of New Year's Eve, the sparkling contemporary fiction novel set in outback Queensland and her first collection of poems is called Notebook Heart and explores the rhythms of heartache, hope, life & love.
Rochelle is an emerging artist who paints tiny landscapes and creates feminist found poetry. Her current obsession is tapping out smudgy and mis-typed micro poetry on her Sperry Rand Remington - Monarch vintage typewriter.
