A UTS Revue: CAMP
Event description
Welcome to CAMP, where the tents are polyester, the fashion’s neon, and the trauma’s tax deductible! Set in a suspiciously sparkly campground in the totally tubular 1980s, this sketch comedy extravaganza follows a group of overly dramatic theatre kids who thought they signed up for summer fun, but instead landed in a conversion camp for aspiring actors, dancers, and musical theatre majors, trying desperately to convert into future corporate drones.
Can you jazz-hands your way out of a PowerPoint presentation? Will interpretive dance be enough to dodge a quarterly review? And just how long can one person monologue in a cubicle?
Written and performed by members of UTS’ Comedy Revue and Performance Society, this show is a laugh-out-loud satire packed with musical numbers, outrageous characters, and painfully relatable references. If you’ve ever been told to “tone it down” or “get a real job,” this one’s for you!
Come for the comedy. Stay for the passive aggressive trust falls.
