A Very LAPIS Birthday with Ebs Yeah and Banana Farm

Two years ago we had our first gig at Sappho books under a couple umbrellas in the rain and two years later we’re feeling sentimental.

We’ll be joined by some truly special people:

EBS YEAH (7:20)

Ebs (solo project of Ebony Tait) is an alternative folk artist based on Gadigal Land (Sydney). She has always loved making music, growing up with a wide range of influences. Having spent the first 10 years of her life in Russia, she first learnt music via traditional folk songs. She has since studied jazz performance at Sydney Conservatorium, and combines her love of both genres in her own music. Woven with lyrics based on her own experiences, Ebs creates cosy and layered sonic landscapes for audiences to bathe in. Providing delicate and sensitive reflections for your next scenic road trip.

BANANA FARM (8:10)

Banana Farm are an Indie Rock band formed in and operating on Gadigal land in the Eora Nation (Inner West of Sydney) with members Grace Rodgers, Tully Horneman, Sabine Tapia and Rory Stewart. From the diverse array of styles they draw inspiration from, Banana Farm craft intricate yet beguiling Pop songs that have won over a devout following throughout Sydney. In 2025 they released their debut EP, which comprises songs both frenetic and ethereal, driving and serene. Using the strength of storytelling through lyricism and harmony, Banana Farm are a band that leave a distinct emotional impression on the listener.
