About this play:
Eddie Carbone, a hardworking Brooklyn longshoreman is a devoted husband to his wife Beatrice and has raised niece Catherine as if she were his blood. When Beatrice’s cousins Marco and Rodolpho enter the US illegally, desperate to find work having fled the poverty of Sicily, the pair are welcomed into the Carbone home. But as Rodolpho and Catherine fall in love, Eddie’s adoration of his niece shifts from touching to something more complicated.
A View from the Bridge is a play about family, jealousy, obsession, and justice.
