A Vulture View - Vulture Awareness Day
An enchanted shadow theatre of vultures and their fight to survive!

Saturday 5th September 2026 - 4pm

Our enchanting shadow theatre production will open your eyes

and heart to this extraordinary keystone species.

These ancient raptors were once seen as rulers of the upper world

and messengers between humans and gods., Described as creatures

that can see both life and death from above, in responsibility for

centuries of sky burial.

After thousands of years, they are now disappearing. Recognise

why it matters! Find out who is who in vulture world.

In this time of calamity, be inspired as you learn what some

experts in the field are doing to save this species and how this

fundraiser will contribute.You may choose to participate as we

learn a Zulu prison song. Help the vultures rise and fly on our

voices, adding fire to their struggle against extinction.

Or, take refreshment and feel the vulture vibe.

A keystone species is an organism that have a disproportionately large effect on their

environment relative to their population size, maintaining the structure, biodiversity, and

function of its ecosystem, often holding the habitat together despite having relatively low

abundance. Removing them causes drastic, chain-reaction ecosystem changes.

This project is inspired from time I spent with the Horstmann Trust

Charity, and NGO. Experts in successful breeding of raptors, enablers

of thought and applied conservation, also tenacity, decency and

supporting humans in their awakening to the reality that, we get few

chances, we make mistakes, we wont achieve what matters if it stops

there.
