UHAD and NOMAD invite you to explore the beauty of the Wurdi Youang (You Yangs National Park) and learn of the area’s cultural significance.

Uncle Norm Stanley is a proud Aboriginal man, born on Wadawurrung Country with heritage connections to the Kurnai and Wotjabaluk people of Victoria. As a musician, artist, father and storyteller, he is passionate about honoring and sharing the stories of land, life and Culture.

Nikki is a proud Aboriginal Woman who was born and raised in Warrnambool, Gunditjmara Country and has heritage connections to Wadawurrung Country . She is a proud mum of two young children, an artist, and an avid baker.

“Our stories are the oldest stories in the world. Our ancestors passed these stories down to us over thousands of years and across hundreds of generations. Now we have a role to play, we have become the holders of these stories. We are now The Keepers of the flame.”

Location: Meet at Lower Picnic Ground, Wurdi Youang/You Yangs National Park

Bring: walking shoes, water bottle, rubbishless lunch/snacks, outdoor attire

Ticket prices: $8 for UHAD/NOMAD members, $10 for DUSA members, $12 for non members

Personal transport to Wurdi Youang is required, carpooling encouraged.

*Relocation may be required in the event of severe wet weather

The host of the event (Club) and the venue, reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event in the circumstance that COVID-related restrictions and requirements render the event not feasible. The club will act in the best interests of all ticket holders through consultation with our venues to ensure the safety of patrons, in the unlikely circumstance that the event is cancelled a refund will be provided to the ticket purchaser.
There is no refund or exchange on any Ticket except as required by law and as otherwise specified by the Event Holder. If a refund is made, the club to the extent permitted by law may retain any booking fee or other fees and charges that have been charged to you.
As per VIC DHHS Covid-19 guidelines, all ticket sales are subject to a refund, or transfer to another person (minus booking fee) where a ticket holder has been instructed to quarantine by the Department of Health.
