About Latin Choir Brisbane

Latin Choir Brisbane started in 2020, when a small group of women came together to sing and stay connected during the pandemic. Six years later, we've grown into a multicultural, intergenerational choir with members from all over the world, brought together by a shared love of Latin American music.

We sing in Spanish, Portuguese and English, sharing songs, cultures and traditions while making friends along the way.

Over the years, we've performed at community and cultural events across Brisbane, including Brisbane Festival in 2025 and 2026. In 2026, we also received a Special Mention in the Cultural Ambassador Award category at the Latin American Awards Australia, recognising our contribution to sharing Latin American culture and bringing communities together.

And after six years, we're still doing what brought us together in the first place - singing and enjoying music with our community!

Acknowledgement of Country

Latin Choir Brisbane acknowledges the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather and make music.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present and recognise their ongoing connection to Country.

As we share our love of Latin American music and culture, we also acknowledge the First Nations peoples whose lands we call home. We are grateful for their enduring cultures, knowledge and care for Country, and remain committed to listening, learning and building connections based on respect.
