    Event description

Celebrate the end of the year with AABR on Darug and GuRingai country with a bush walk through beautiful Sydney Blue Gums and vegetation communities of the Hornsby Shire Council.

Our 2.4km return walk will take us to the Fishponds, a tranquil section of the Blue Gum Walk featuring cascading water, rich native vegetation, and opportunities to spot local wildlife. Graded moderate to hard, the walk will take approximately 1.5 hours and includes some uneven terrain, steps, and slopes.

Along the way, we’ll chat about the ecological significance of the surrounding bushland and enjoy some casual plant identification. After the walk, we’ll gather for a light picnic lunch back at Rosemead Reserve.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others passionate about ecological restoration, share knowledge, socialise and celebrate the beauty of our native bushland.
