The Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) invites you to an exciting and innovative national gathering ONLINE to share and explore together how we STRENGTHEN, COLLABORATE, and ADVOCATE for environmental education!

NB. Once accepted, presenters will be invited to register at the early bird rate via a Presenter's link. Information about this will be included when you receive the notification of acceptance to present.
The 2025 AAEE Biennial Conference will be held virtually on FOUR days over FOUR weeks in August:
- FRIDAY 1 AUGUST Research Symposium – hosted by the Australian Journal of Environmental Education (AJEE). This half-day, online symposium will provide a space and opportunity for robust discussion, capacity building, and networking for those interested in research related to the intersections between environment, sustainability and education.
- TUESDAY 5 AUGUST Conference Day 1: STRENGTHEN – supported by the Centre for Regenerating Futures, Deakin University. Full day, online, featuring a keynote (TBC), presentations, Q&A sessions, workshops and panel discussions, strengthening our environmental education community's connections and practices.
- WEDNESDAY 13 AUGUST Conference Day 2: COLLABORATE – supported by the SEAE (Sustainability, Environmental & Arts Education) Research Centre, Southern Cross University. Full day, online, featuring a keynote presented by award-winning film-maker DAMON GAMEAU, as well as presentations, Q&A sessions, workshops and panel discussions, enhancing collaboration across the environmental education community.
- THURSDAY 21 AUGUST Conference Day 3: ADVOCATE – supported by Curtin University Faculty of Education. Full day, online, featuring a keynote presented by Millennium Kids' Agents of Climate Change project directors Bella Poll and Troy Wood, as well as presentations, Q&A sessions, workshops and panel discussions, showcasing and inspiring advocacy for and through environmental education.
We look forward to welcoming educators from all sectors of our community and all corners of the country (and even the planet!) to what is sure to be an interactive, inspiring, and meaningful opportunity to network and learn together.
PLEASE NOTE: We have created a fee structure intended to be sufficiently generous to welcome our diverse community. If you are in a position to, please donate to our Public Fund, via the Donation button. These donations go directly into subsidising our conference and events, ensuring that we can keep our ticketed events inclusive and our other events free!
Refunds available up until 31 July. $20 admin fee will be applied for all refunds.
AAEE is a registered charity and all donations to the AAEE Public Fund over $2 are tax deductible.
